The group\u2019s research area is second language (L2) acquisition. This group has participated in the I<strong>nternational Symposium on Language Processing in Bilingual Children and Adults: Psycholinguistic and educational perspectives<\/strong>, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. 19 June  within the ELC network.  Recently, the coordinator of the group hosted a thematic colloquium on &#8220;New approaches to cross-linguistic influence&#8221; at the 25th Annual Conference of the European Second Language Association (EUROSLA 25) held at Aix-en-Provence, France, from the 26th to the 29th August 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MMTAFL (Methods and Materials for the Teaching and Acquisition of Foreign Languages) is an applied linguistics research group.
